Della Hodges

Della was a legal assistant with our office from 2006-2008. She received her JD from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2011 and was pursuing a law career in New York. You can find Della in LinkedIn.

Ian Kysel

Ian was a legal assistant with the firm from 2006-2008. He graduated from Georgetown University Law Center and subsequently started as the Aryeh Neier Fellow with Human Rights Watch and the American Civil Liberties Union, where he investigated the solitary confinement of juveniles in the United States and testified before Congress. Alyssa Work

Alyssa was a legal assistant in our office from 2008-2010. She received her JD from Yale Law School in 2013, and is serving as a Liman Fellow with the Bronx Freedom Fund, representing individuals accused of misdemeanors. You can find Alyssa in LinkedIn.

Julia Reeder

Julia served as a legal assistant and office manager with Bromberg, Kohler Maya & Maschler, PLLC from 2008-2011.

Jennifer Miller

Alexandra “Ali” Smith

Katherine “Katie” Hyde

Anna was a legal assistant in our office from 2013 until 2018.  From 2016-2018 she worked remotely from San Francisco where she relocated in 2016.  She is currently working as an editor for Visa. You can find Anna in LinkedIn.

Toni Maschler

Toni joined the firm as an associate attorney in 2006 and later became a partner in in 2011 until her departure in 2019.  During her tenure with the firm Toni was known for her passion, perseverance and her ability to resolve particularly challenging cases.  She represented numerous asylum seekers, families and employers in reaching their immigration goals. Elizabeth A. Kohler Maya

Elizabeth was an attorney and managing partner of the firm from 2003-2023.  During her tenure with the firm, Elizabeth was an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, serving on the Executive Committee for four years, including a term as Chapter Chair from 2018-2019.  In September 2023, Elizabeth left the firm to become an Immigration Judge with the Executive Office for Immigration Review – Baltimore Immigration Court.
